Meet Our Team

“Guided by Wisdom, Committed to Care”

Our Mission

We are dedicated to advancing the understanding, accessibility, and responsible integration of ancient plant medicines for healing and personal transformation. We believe that these sacred botanical allies offer profound therapeutic potential for facilitating personal transformation, emotional release, and spiritual connection.

For thousands of years, Indigenous cultures have understood what modern science is only now beginning to validate: certain sacred plant medicines hold extraordinary potential for healing trauma, breaking cycles of addiction, and reconnecting us with ourselves and the world around us. Yet these profound botanical allies remain inaccessible to those who need them most; trapped behind barriers of stigma, legal complexity, and lack of education.

Healers in the Mist exists to change that.

We are dedicated to advancing the understanding, accessibility, and responsible integration of ancient plant medicines for healing and personal transformation. We believe these sacred botanical allies offer profound therapeutic potential for facilitating emotional release, deep healing, and spiritual connection.

Millions of people struggle with treatment-resistant depression, PTSD, addiction, and existential suffering  that often fails to respond to conventional interventions. Meanwhile, indigenous wisdom about plant medicines risks being lost or commodified without respect for traditional contexts. The gap between ancient knowledge and modern accessibility has never been wider, or more urgent to bridge.

Practitioner

Carmen, Our Medicine Woman

"Medicine Woman." It is not a title she chose, but a path she was called to walk, a spiritual mission she carries in her heart. Her lineage comes from her mother, of the Kechua people. Her parents are from Bolivia, and her mother still speaks the language of their Kechua ancestors. This heritage is the root of herself. Her journey with plant medicine began over twenty years ago, and she has been a student ever since, learning directly from the wise jungle, sacred plants, and elders of different traditions, including the Tubu, Matzes, and the Shipibo tribe, who taught her to listen to the plants and serve in the healing of others with respect and simplicity. For many years, she has lived a nomadic life, calling Peru her home, though she has no fixed address. The Earth is her temple, and the mountains and rivers are her guides. She has been blessed to facilitate healing ceremonies across the Americas, Europe, and Asia. She is honored to share these ceremonies and to have open doors everywhere she goes. She hopes to connect with other indigenous communities and continue sharing these sacred traditions. She comes in peace, with respect for all paths, and a deep commitment to the healing of people and Mother Earth.
